This system measures minute displacements (of the order of 0.01mm) that occur on the ground surface, and based on an automatic collapse detection/prediction algorithm, it can predict slope collapse in the early stages. Moreover, when the slope displacement reaches a threshold, it immediately transmits a three-level warning (caution, alert, severe) to the site manager/user. This allows for the real-time, accurate identification of the location of a potential slope collapse, thus enabling a swift response.

The system operates by attaching strain gauge to a rod sensor embedded in the ground to measure the deformation of the ground in real time. The measured signals are converted into digital information and wirelessly transmitted to a gateway using low-power, long-range (LoRa) communication network. The gateway then sends the displacement data measured by the sensor to the control server via the LTE Network.

It detected and alarmed a rockfall collapse accident on Provincial Road 411, allowing the site manager to quickly respond and prevent a road accident by removing the rocks.
